For Josie on Syria

  • August 30th, 2013

The New Yorker says it all on the Syrian dilemma here and here.
Thanks James Clad.

[This was addressed to Josie Pagani after a conversation in which we both bemoaned the lack of intellectual humility, and primitive anti-Americanism in NZ commentary on the US dilemma]

Yes, there was a big noise about the UK PM David Cameron losing the vote in Parliament.
He didn’t lose he won. He didn’t make an executive decision, he faced Parliament.
There are apparently Iranians and Hezbollah all over the place in Syria.
Which way do you want to die, by a bullet wound agony slow, thats ok,thats norm; or gas quickly not norm not ok.

In Thailand we have Tony Blair coming over here to help reconcile Thailand polarised parties. Thais see it as a sad joke. They say just give him his money Thaksin, we don’t need him.

Yes, now after Cameron lost his advocacy to the house of Parliament UK, on Syria position he was supposed to look pail and lost.
Well now today the one who walks on water has deferred his Syria decision to congress, ie.
no longer the warlords executive decision.
So who is the new leader of the free world again?.
Clues not Tony Blair, Not Obama,
